SCQA (Situation, Complication, Question, Answer) is a framework for structured communication that helps present information clearly and persuasively.

Components

Situation: Current context
Complication: What changed?
Question: What needs to be addressed?
Answer: Proposed solution

An annotated memo sets a weekly review process as the situation, between-meeting urgent requests as the complication, asks how to respond without interrupting everyone, and recommends a rotating triage owner with escalation rules. — Conceptual SCQA specimen: the complication creates a question that the recommendation directly answers.
